We have all seen the devastation wrought by hurricanes Harvey and Irma in the United States and the Caribbean, and many are seeking ways to help out our fellow children of God in their time of need. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is a ministry of the United Methodist Church dedicated to providing aide and relief to people affected by disasters, natural and man-made, in all corners of the globe. UMCOR is frequently among the first to respond to these crises, and they are fully mobilized in the areas affected by the recent disasters.

There are two main ways you can support UMCOR. You can put together relief supply kits, which include cleaning supplies to help victims of flooding clean up their water damaged homes, and you can give financially to help UMCOR's efforts to acquire and distribute these vital supplies.

Below you will find a link to instructions on how to assemble relief supply kits. The "Cleaning Kit" type is what is most needed right now in the initial recovery stages of Harvey's aftermath. If you put together one or more kits, bring them here to Atlanta First and we will see to it that they are delivered to UMCOR for distribution.

If you would rather make a monetary donation to help UMCOR's efforts, you can click the link below to find their online donation page. 100% of all donations go directly to fund the relief efforts and supplies, so you can rest assured your gift will be helping those in need.
